Welcome to TTLG Edition #3. Today we’re talking about Cyborgs.. Well, a version I guess.

Remember when we thought smartphones were mind-blowing? Well, the next big thing in consumer experience could be all in your head. Welcome to the world of Neuro-Digital Interfaces (NDIs), where your thoughts are about to become your new touchscreen.

🧠 The Mind-Boggling Future of Consumer Interaction 🧠

Imagine a world where you can order a pizza just by thinking about it. No more "accidental" late-night cheese-stuffed crust orders – now your 3 AM cravings will be intentional! But jokes aside, NDIs are set to revolutionize how we interact with technology and experience products and services.

Impact on Consumers:

  1. Unprecedented Personalization: Your brain's responses will fine-tune experiences in real-time. No more "Did you enjoy this product?" surveys – companies will know before you do!

  2. Health and Wellness Revolution: Mental health support could become as simple as thinking about needing help.

  3. Enhanced Learning and Skill Acquisition: Struggling with that language course? NDIs might make you multilingual faster than you can say "où est la bibliothèque?". Will we be able to plug ourselves into the Matrix and just learn how to fly a helicopter like Trinity? Maybe. But not anytime soon. When this becomes possible however, what will it do to economies when knowledge is no longer a differentiator? What will happen to salaries? Will we need robotics to plug the gaps left in manual labour?

  4. Accessibility Boom: For individuals with physical disabilities and degenerative conditions, NDIs will open up a world of new possibilities. It will provide escape from physical limitations, and it will hopefully create abilities for movement again. See NL below.

  5. Monetisation of data: We are already seeing reclamation of data by consumers, and as we shift into this new world we will see 1st party data dominate. But, companies are going to have to compete for this data. It will be being paywalls, with the consumer owning their own data and deciding what it's worth, and who can access it.

  6. Crime: Minority Report.. No.. But if we see a shift where in the next 10-20 years the uptake of NDIs is signficant, how will this change crime? We should see a massive reduction in the types of crime we are used to due to recall, but will we see a rise in cyber related crimes? (Yes..)
